I’m Marian Madonia. I started my career in the financial services industry. Though I’ve had bosses that I loved, I’ve also struggled with many poor bosses along the way. I distinctly remember my first boss saying “you need to improve your attitude.” A later boss said “You have a bad attitude.” And still another boss said “I’m sure you’re a nice girl, but after dealing with you, I have to go home and drink.”
I laugh at the stories now, because I find humor a great way to cope and move on with life. But what’s bothersome about those three snippets is that none of those bosses considered their contribution to my bad attitude. The lessons I learned from those stories early on and the one’s I’ve gathered in my professional career as a trainer, speaker, consultant, and author are what I am passionate about sharing. The more people that know how to get rid of the Garbage Factor™ in the workplace, the more people will become satisfied with their jobs. And if we’re not satisfied, we’re going to show our dissatisfaction with our feet and move on to the next opportunity.
Join me on my mission. I’m Marian Madonia, and I’m recruiting you to expose the dirty garbage for what it is; the GarbageFactor™ dumped on employees.

I am a hard-working young adult (runs in the family), and know all to well of the Garbage Factor. My boss was never happy with the exceptional work that my co-workers noticed quite often. My co-workers and I were frequently tired of the “garbage” that our management threw at us, but the only thing anyone did was talk about how much they hated the “garbage”, and nothing was done in fear of losing our jobs in a very unstable economy. Waking up every morning and not wanting to go to work is not good for the company a person works for. What does that say about the company? Nothing good!
